As a Finance colleague you'll get the opportunity to take advantage of a host of tailored training programs, from online courses to independent professional qualifications.What will you be doing? •PnL Production & Analysis•Interacting with Trading, Technology, Operations and Finance colleagues to formalize PnL in a timely, controlled fashion.•Providing quality PnL commentary that explains the revenue drivers of the desk, supported by Front-to-Back data.  Should have (or develop) a strong understanding of Equity Option Greeks and strategies in order to do this effectively.•Balance Sheet Substantiation•Complete month-end close (reconcile trading books, substantiate balance sheet movements) in order to ensure accuracy of Firm’s Books & Records.•Learn and understand the balance sheet accounting for an Equity Derivatives business. •Be a central point of contact on all control related issues with respect to revenue reporting and Finance controls.•Project Work•Participate in the US Equity Roadmap infrastructure or regulatory projects that involve Finance.•Book Hierarchy review and remapping in line with Firm best practice.•Ensure accuracy of downstream processes, including accounting and control responsibilities.•Ensure PnL and Risk moves are fully understood, explained and reported to appropriate levels. •Produce and analyze effective risk-based explains.•Review and report on new deal activity and its impact on the P&L and banks risk profile.•Assist the Front Office with respect to representing complex deals in the P&L/risk reporting systems and review for accuracy.What we’re looking for: •Financial or Quantitative Undergraduate Degree•4+ years of Equity Derivatives Product Control experience. •4+ years of experience working in equity derivative products knowledge and associated explains (Greeks).  •2+ years of experience navigating and explaining balance sheet accounts and movementsSkills that will help you in the role:•SAP, Essbase, FP&A experience welcome•Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python•Able to navigate complex organizations and juggle multiple projects at one timeWhere will you be working?At Barclays, we are proud to be redefining the future of finance and here at Whippany we are defining the future of the workplace and the future of the way we work and live.
