The Manager, Sales Strategy Rx -OTC Switch develops the Strategic Account Plans for their respective brand that incorporates brand objectives and strategies, and shopper insights to help achieve the brand’s budgeted sales and profit goals. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate new first in class consumer health categories in the US with our key retailers Leverage extensive knowledge of retailer go-to-market strategies to develop customer specific launch plans in order to maximize the switch at each outlet Assist Switch commercial leaders on development of switches, ensuring they achieve the retailer’s key considerations, including: drives category growth, different to what is currently in market, accretive to retailer's category margin, appropriate sizing and pricing for the channel, proper support including trial driving mechanisms Present all ideas (customer specific or national) to the Innovation and Initiative committee, gaining approval and support Oversees the development of the Go-To- Market plan for RX to OTC switches These strategic plans will include driving tactics within, but not limited to promotion planning, pricing, distribution, and shelving strategies and tacticsAssists in key sales with the priority customerServes as the Voice of Sales and Customer with Marketing providing sales perspective and POV and proactively champions/influences sales aspects of switches such as: 4 P's (promotional, placement, product/ assortment, pricing) Timing Trade activation needs Customer response Competitive IntelligenceWHO YOU AREYour success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required SkillsBachelor’s degree is required (MBA desirable) Minimum of plus 5 years of progressive sales experience in the consumer packaged goods industryTwo years of Headquarter Trade Marketing Experience preferredTwo years of Field Sales Experience preferredSales experience handling a top account is preferredExcellent financial management skills to critically assess strategic goals and cost investments versus results; ability to streamline operational processesExperience in a basic understanding of brand P&Ls, ROI, and budget managementUnderstanding of the customer and the marketplace: Exceptional knowledge of retailer landscape and how to impact the total marketMust understand the impact of individual decisions to Bayer’s total business and relevant long-term implicationsPrior direct selling leadership experience with a top national retailer and sales strategy or sales operations experience requiredExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven experience in influence managementProven ability to develop win-win solutions to complex situationsRobust analytical capabilities across a variety of data sources and platforms with ability to translate into action-minded recommendationsAdvanced computer literacy skill required, specifically MS Excel and PowerPointRelocation Assistance is availableCountry: United StatesState: New JerseyLocation: WhippanyReference Code: 66355Functional Area:Commercial & SalesEntry Level : Professional
