Dickson's Farmstand Meats is looking for an experienced whole-animal butcher to lead our cutting team into the future. This is a great opportunity for an experienced meat cutter to take their skills to the next level in a high-volume retail setting and manage a fantastic team.

Each week we break down 5-6 beef, 7-10 pigs & 5-7 lambs at our Chelsea Market facility - all for retail sale from our two meat counters in The Market.

Butchers work closely with our kitchen team and front of house staff to ensure nothing is wasted in our quest for 100% utilization of every animal we send to slaughter. We have an extensive value-added program & prepared foods program.

Candidates must have at least 5 year meat cutting experience in a retail or wholesale environment. You must have open availability to work holidays and weekends. Customer service skills, a great attitude, sense of urgency, cleanliness and safety are also essential.

Dickson s Farmstand is a purveyor of a unique selection of artisanal meat and meat products. Our beef, lamb, pork, goat and poultry are sourced from local farms, hand-picked because of their commitment to producing natural, humanely-raised, high-quality and distinctive meat products. Our store in the Chelsea Market is an extremely busy, whole-animal butcher shop where all breaking and retail cutting take place in our open cutting room in front of our customers.

Dickson's Farmstand is a neighborhood butcher shop in Chelsea Market offering artisanal meats and house-made charcuterie. Our beef, pork, lamb, and poultry are sourced from small, family farms in upstate New York that are carefully handpicked for their humanely-raised, high-quality animals. We proudly share with you the stories of our farmers and their practices.

Our charcuterie is made in-house by Chefs Will & Jonas & team. Honoring tradition and the values of our shop, we make all of our products from the same whole animals from which we cut our steaks and chops. We strive to use every part of every animal - from nose-to-tail. All of our meat is raised without added hormones, prophylactic antibiotics, or animal by-products - and is always 100% feedlot/CAFO free.
