Job Title: Peer Specialist Co-Responder

Base Salary: Hiring wage depending on experience. Plus cost of living allowance.

Job Description:

Under immediate supervision, the Peer Specialist provides client support services, serves as a client advocate, provides client information and peer support for adult and families in an outpatient setting. Services are provided at either Mind Springs or other community agencies or locations. Performs a wide range of tasks to assist adults and families in regaining control over their own recovery process. The Peer Specialist will role model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills.

The Peer Specialist Co-Responder is employed by Mind Springs Health and works with the PACT (Pitkin Area Co-responder Teams) program. The purpose of the PACT program is to support law enforcement on mental health calls for service and, when possible, divert individuals with behavioral health disorders or symptoms from involvement in the criminal justice system, engaging them in treatment and/or social services instead.

This position partners closely with law enforcement officers and deputies to provide on scene mobile response, intervention, evaluation and disposition to individuals with behavioral health disorders or symptoms. Will also collaborate with a PACT Case Manager and Clinician III.


Must be, or have been, a client of mental health services, or is or has been a caretaker of minor child that has received mental health services. Must be able to type into various computer software applications, and must have working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
