Peachford Hospital is seeking experienced Charge Nurses (Registered Nurse) (RN) for our busy private psychiatric and addictive disease facility. The Charge Nurse (RN) role is considered to be one of the primary entry-ways into Nursing Leadership.

Charge Nurses (RN) are responsible for ensuring that assigned staff on assigned units deliver quality nursing care to both psychiatric and chemically dependent adult, geriatric and adolescent patients.
Key Responsibilities of the Charge Registered Nurse (RN) include:
Serve as the leader for their shift and unit. Assign and monitor staff to patients/duties.
Assess patients through a systematic process of interacting with patient, the patient s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers.
Administer medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner utilizing the Five Rights of medication administration.
Collect and analyze data regarding the patient s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.
Determine patients alcohol or drug toxicity and identify signs of withdrawal.
Develop a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning.
Monitor patients following nursing unit policies and procedures.
Inform leadership of on-going issues on their unit.

Two years of psychiatric nursing experience
Previous leadership experience preferred
