Volunteers of America, Inc. FUNCTION The program director manages the delivery of services to residents within the policies and guidelines of Volunteers of America. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A bachelors degree in a human services field and five years of related experience including at least two years at a supervisory or management level, or a masters degree in a related field with four years of general experience and one year of supervisory or management experience. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage program personnel. 2. Manage program services. 3. Manage program purchasing and property control. 4. Manage program facilities. 5. Serve as funding/regulatory agency liaison. 6. Maintain community contacts. 7. Prepare budgets and reports. 8. Perform other duties as may be assigned. EFFECTS ON END RESULTS Qualified personnel are recruited, trained and retained. Program goals and objectives are met in a cost-effective manner and within the approved budget. Purchasing and inventory controls are maintained precisely to standard. The facility is maintained at the highest standards. Regulatory requirements are met at the highest levels.
